It does look good but it gets a lot of fishing pressure because it goes into buckhorn lake and people go there to fish for the stripers when they run.

Just let me know about the trip. Saturday my GF and some of my friends and I are going to be in Harlan for the Poke Sallet Festival.

Fern Lake opens back up this weekend so I will probably be hitting that up pretty hard (early Saturday and Sunday too). If you guys want to come down and fish it youre more than welcome.

JD sounds like BCO is going to be tied up this weekend, but if you still want to go thats fine with me. BCO I probably won't have the time to this weekend but I would truely like to have a raincheck on a trip down to your part of the woods. I want to try the fishing down there.

man i went to powell last night and about 10pm they started tearing topwater up...but the dang things couldnt get a hold of my bait! i missed 8...count em EIGHT strikes in a row....in about 20 minutes. i was flat out disgusted. had the same white torpedo on. talked to my pap and he said a lot of times fish will miss a white topwater bait when the moon is shining and the water is fast. he said he thinks its the way the moonlight refracts the bait and they hit behind it...told me to put a trailer hook on it. so ill try that tonight and see if it does any better.

and yeah id like to come up that way this weekend but ive had fern on the brain for a month now, so in the little free time i have im going to go up there and catch a big mess of bluegill to eat.

oh and i got some pics of powell last night, ill try to get them posted tomorrow.

Sounds like the action is picking up. that trailer hook maybe just the ticket. I don't blame you for going on the hunt for those big slab bluegills. post some pictures of those big blues if you can. :D

Just watched the weather, still giving T-Storms for Sunday. I guess we have to wait and see how things are going to go with the rain.

Went to Wally World this evening and bought a open face rod & reel. Tried to fix my Mitchel,..but no luck :(

so yall didnt get a chance to fish at all? that sucks. it rained a little here this weekend, never over 15-20 minutes though. i caught a few bluegill and bass down at fern lake this weekend, nothing to write home about. everytime i fished it has just rained before and drove the fish down way deep i think. hopefully ill have better luck this evening.
