If you have ridden the Daniel Boone Trails, then I know you have seen all the wild turkey we have up there on those mountains. If I wanted a turkey, this is where I would go. They are EVERYWHERE ON DANIEL BOONE TRAILS...There is even a stand in place on Elkway Trail just for turkey hunting. Yes, hunting is allowed on Daniel Boone Trails and the same hunting laws apply there as they do anywhere else in Kentucky. All hunting is allowed except...you guessed it....Elk Hunting.
So, hop on your ATV, pick your spot, and get your Turkey because, like I said, we have OOODLES...We are also eat up with Grouse and rabbit. We get a lot of coon hunters up there but I have yet to see a raccoon.
