Ok I have been on the net the past 2 days, reading and wondering just what software You need to Map track and put them on to a map.
There are a lot of Free one's out there besides the ones that come with the GPS., and can all Camera's be set to the GPS with WWMX Location Stamper.

I've been looking at that programs website, trying to figure out exactly how it works. I think I've got it figured out now.

It looks as though you need to have tracking turned on, on your GPS. You also need to make sure your cameras clock set to the same time as your GPS.

It works by downloading the track from your GPS, then comparing that information, to the information in your photo files. When it finds one that was taken at a time that matches a time in the track file, it stamps that photo with the coordinates you were at for that time period.

So, it should work with any digital camera, as long as you have the correct date and time set up in it, and it matches the time in your GPS. Just have to make sure you have tracking turned on your GPS, and have it with you, when you want to be able to stamp locations.

That actually would be a handy program to have for surveying. Where I use to work, there were lots of times we had to take pictures of certain things, and we always used digital cameras. It would be nice to also be able to include a latitude/longitude location with those pictures, just to make a report look nicer.

I've been looking over this program website a little more. It is really nice looking actually. Would be great for those that love to travel, and take photographs. Which I do enjoy both, and having a GPS where I could record the tracks, and be able to easily stamp my photographs with a location, makes this program seem really interesting.

Let us know if you try it, and what you think about it. I may consider downloading it.
