I've got me a couple dummy plugs, and I've been practicing my casting getting ready to go on a fishing trip or two.

I'm not so bad out of practice when it comes to casting. Been using a frisbee to throw at, and although I may not hit it everytime, I'm landing beside it quite often.

We're gonna have to get us a printable fish target to put up on this website
Of course, I'm probably the only one getting out target practicing with a fishing pole

I do it with the flyrod all the time, the more you practice the better you get. I place 7 or 8 targets in front of me at different distances and some under limbs and other situations you will encounter in the river. I have found that it helps me on the river when I need to make a cast and get it right the first time or I will spook the fish.

My wife has been wanting to learn how to use an open face spinning reel. I think that using targets out in the yard will be a lot easier than having to learn while out actually trying to fish.
